Windows 8 sells only 4Mil, ‘well below’ Microsoft projection
Microsoft’s latest operating system sales has fallen ‘well bellow’ the companies expectations, selling only 4 million copies. Considering the vast majority of the world uses Microsoft Windows operating system, its latest sales have left many scratching their heads at the software giant.
Seriously though, what did Microsoft expect? Xbox and the Windows phone work great with the Retro/Tile design, but they’re now shoving it down the throats of PC consumers who simply dislike the interface — so lets be real here.
An unnamed source has told Cnet that the company’s sales are “disappointing”. The source also said it is placing the blame on PC manufacturers “inability” to deliver. Really, Microsoft?
With 1.2 billion people using Windows software on planet earth, one must wonder who at Microsoft isn’t on the same planet. With only 4 million sold since its release in October, the numbers have caused Steven Sinofsky, who is in charge of the company’s Windows operating system, to do some checking up at the Redmond company.
Maybe the first thing he should do is deinstall Windows 8 from his laptop and get with the program.
