Skyrim Sells 3.5 Million in 48 Hours
Skyrim, developed by Bethesda Game Studios, has said to have sold 3.5 million copies within 48 hours. The company expects the game to gain over $450 million worldwide in sales on all platforms. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was expected to be a big hit for gamers and that expectation has certainly been met.
Robert Altman, Chairman and CEO of ZeniMax Media, Bethesda’s parent company, said “Todd Howard and his team at Bethesda Game Studios have crafted a very special game. Anticipation for Skyrim has surpassed any game in our company’s history, and we are pleased that sales and reviews have reflected the quality and hours of amazing gameplay it provides.”
With the company expecting more sales world wide, 7 million in total shipped, you can bet Skyrim is going to be a huge stocking stuffer this holiday season.
