Off-Beat: Owner finds car fully loaded–with cocaine
Now that’s something to tell your friends about, provided you have trusting friends. Charles Preston, a San Jose psychologists, was having problems getting his Chrysler minivan’s passenger window to roll down. Coke anyone ?
“People make jokes — oh, you should have sold it,” Preston tells the Mercury News. “But honestly, I’ve never been so scared in my life, even when I was mugged in New York.”
The newspaper says the vehicle once belonged to a rental car agency and was likely used to ferry coke across the border.
The newspaper says the used car company has agreed to take it back, which is fine with Preston.
