iPad 3 unveil set for early March

With rumor after rumor flying across the web, iPad fans can finally express joy with some truth. Sources have reported Apple has chosen the first week in March to debut its iPad 3 tablet at one of its trademark special events. The event is likely to take place at Yerba Buena Center for Arts located in San Francisco.

“As for the next-generation iPad itself, sources say it will be pretty much what we’ve been led to expect by the innumerable reports leading up to its release: A device similar in form factor to the iPad 2, but running a much faster chip, sporting an improved graphics processing unit, and featuring a 2048×1536 Retina Display — or something close to it.” John Paczkowski said on AllThingsD

The back cover of the iPad 3 has recently been photographed to reveal the device to be slightly thicker than the iPad 2 to accommodate the larger battery. Other information indicate the motherboard used is shaped differently than its predecessor and possibly a different camera module will featured.
