Incoming: Battlefield 3 update!

Battlefield 3 Media CoverIncoming! — as we say on the battlefield, at least, and with the already implementing of several server updates to improve stability and performance of Battlefield 3, DICE (Digital Illusions CE) is about to embark on some nifty new updates in its patch. The upcoming patches for PC will be polishing the game up, weapons balancing, stability, user interface enhancements, squad control functionality and several features provided from its fan feedback.

Battlefield’s Blog website says console gamers will need to wait a bit longer due to “certification requirements for consoles”, but says “will follow shortly after the PC update.” As for addressing cheaters, DICE says they will “continue to analyze data to identify and hold accountable (ban, wipe stats) players that cheat or boost.”

Regarding cheating and boosting, we continue to analyze data to identify and hold accountable (ban, wipe stats) players that cheat or boost. We’ve received questions about what to do when faced with unsportsmanlike conduct in Battlefield 3 – the best course of action is to click the warning sign next to their profile name in Battlelog, or head to the EA Help Desk and report your issue. These leads will enable us to follow up on the report.

We appreciate all the feedback. Keep it coming to help us with future improvements. Check back next week to confirm the patch launch date and the detailed fix list. Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback with us!
