Gameloft announces Dark Knight Rises for Android/iOS devices

Gameloft has announced a Batman: Dark Knight Rises mobile game optimized for Android and IOS devices today.

The Parisian firm debuted the game’s kick-ass action scenes via a game trailer Thursday and said that it will be the only movie tie-in title announced for the final installment of the Bale Batman trilogy.

The game narrative is said to be loosely based on the movie’s plot but exact details remain a mystery due to the movie’s story line staying pretty covert.

From the trailer, it’s obvious the game focuses heavily on the beat-em up/adventure side but looks to be set in an open world environment, allowing players to explore as much of Gotham City as they see fit.

Gameloft has confirmed that Dark Knight Rises will be released this Summer but it is keeping tight-lipped about any other details regarding availability.

Development of the game is still in progress, as it is being developed in collaboration with Warner Brothers studios, so it should be a decent portrayal of the film, which is due to hit movie screens on 19 July.
