Electronic Arts: Battlefield 3
Breaking it down
In Battlefield 3 the game comes to life with its spectacular graphics and enhanced Destruction 3.0 features. In every map tested the feel of the game brought on new realism behind a FPS (First Person Shooter) game, something we have all longed for. EA’s decision to release its game with Frostbite 2 as the backend graphics engine was an exceptional choice and possibly the best thing to have ever come to the gaming platform.
If you have ever had the sinking feeling of watching your favorite game trailers and later finding out “the graphics were nothing like that shown in the game trailer…” don’t worry—Battlefield 3 is everything you saw in the trailer, and better. After installation, minus the dreaded login monotony, you’re setup for the new virtual world Frostbite 2 has created for your total immersion…and bragging rights.
EA’s decision to incorporate more unlocks into the game for players means someone at the company is thinking logically for the longevity of the game. We all enjoy our favorite games but when the game loses its contrast, players quickly take to another game to fill the void they had with a previous game—something a lot of gaming companies are not paying close attention too.
To experience what Battlefield was back then and what it is today gives new meaning behind a company’s strength to innovate its products. Battlefield 3 is a must play game!
