Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim named most played game of 2011 by Raptr

Skyrim Raptr Award (Most Played Game 2011)

The firm behind game-tracking application, Raptr, covers 10 million plus users on console and PC. Skyrim was the most played RPG title of 2011. While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was the most played First Person Shooter, the two games make their mark this year as the most played, even though data restrictions do not factor in Wii and Playstation3 game titles.

“2011 is turning out to be a boon for gamers, and our awards highlight how gamers are investing the most amount of their precious time playing every day.” says Dennis Fong, Raptr CEO.

The Raptr report said that Call of Duty continues to dominate the playtime charts and reported 20.45 hours in its opening week, 15% more than Battlefield 3. RPG fans will be happy to know Skyrim topped charts in Total Playtime, Avg. Playtime Per Person and Avg Session Length, although both Dragon Age 2 and Two Worlds 2 demonstrated great timing logged with trailing behind Skyrim by 6 minutes on average, the report says.

  • Skyrim
  • Dragon Age 2
  • Deus Ex : Human Revolution
  • Dark Souls
  • Two Words 2

Fun fact: An average Skyrim player logged 85 hours before unlocking the “Reader” achievement (read 50 skill books)
